Art Locations

The project

Art Locations was conceived as a way to help people locate amazing pieces of art around the world. It revolves around a map-based interface, but also allows visitors to search and browse for specific artworks. The project began as a web app, but we then developed both iOS and Android apps to make it easier to locate artwork when travelling.

The technology

The web app was built using React, through Next.js. Mapping functionality comes from Google APIs and the content is held in Sanity, a very flexible headless CMS. The apps were built using React Native, which made it easy to quickly release on both platforms with almost the same codebase.
